STYLE FILE: TWEED TWO WAYS

As a graphic designer, I am constantly using my creativity to come up with design solutions for client needs, but when it comes to my wardrobe it seems I've been hitting snooze. It's easy to get in a rut, pairing together the same outfit combinations without much thought, which is why I put together this post. The easiest and most affordable way to update your wardrobe is to work with what you already have in your closet, by reinventing pieces you already have. I am always amazed of the transformation accessories can make when trying to create a new look. Typically an office staple, tweed looks polished with pumps and a chic bun, while pairing it with booties and geometric accessories, it's ready for a night out.

LET'S EAT: GLITTER BALL COOKIES

I am typically a person who likes to avoid clutter. I strictly abide by the "if I haven't worn it in the past year" rule when it comes to cleaning out my closet, I prefer my desk to have as little on it as possible and I routinely toss clutter that accumulates around the house. But that doesn't mean I don't have my downfalls. Unfortunately, when it comes to sprinkles, I can't seem to have enough.

I came to this realization a few months ago while unpacking after a recent move and our cramped kitchen no longer had space for my "slight" sprinkle obsession. After taking inventory and trying to decide which ones I could part with, I decided to keep them all. I have yet to decide where I will be storing them all, but I realized the best way downsize my collection, is to use them! Not only is this recipe for Glitter Ball Cookies the perfect way to use up an abundance of sprinkles, but they're also really cute!

SUMMER'S END

Since Labor Day weekend has come and gone, marking the "unofficial end of summer," I thought I'd share with you one of my favorite summer snap-shots. In the past couple months I was exceptionally busy with weddings, (and everything that comes along with them: bridal showers, bachelorette parties, etc.) a trip to Las Vegas, and whatever pool time I could fit in. Although, I'm always sad as the days start to shorten, I am definitely looking forward to cooler temperatures. Take a peak of more of my candids on Instagram for random inspiration, snap-shots of my life and anything else that catches my eye.
