Frozen Pineapple Whip

After seeing recipes for Pineapple Whip pop up all over Pinterest, I have been curious to try it out for myself to see what all of the buzz is about. From what I have read, Pineapple Whip is a frozen, soft serve dessert served at Dinseyland, but having never been to a Disney theme park before, I had never heard of it. With that being said, I cannot tell you if this actually tastes like the original theme park treat, but it was definitely very good! I love that this recipe only requires a few ingredients and is a fairly healthy alternative for a cool summer treat. After letting the whip firm up a bit in the freezer I tried scooping it into coconut rimmed ice cream cones, which was delicious, but also a little messy. I would suggest sticking to bowls unless you have more patience than me and let the whip freeze long enough to be easily scooped into cones.

Dreamy Bedroom Inspiration

Since graduating from college and moving into my first apartment several years ago, my bedroom has been through many different phases of decor. First there was the budget-friendly "left-overs from college" look, followed closely by the "overworked and too tired to even care" phase, neither of which hardly qualified as decor at all. From there, as I began to have a little more wiggle room in my budget, I began experimenting with thrift store finds and DIY decor which led to a mismatched phase that can best be described as "Pinterest-inspired confusion." Now as I near the end of my twenties, I will admit things are still a work in progress, but I have a much better idea of the style I am going for and I have a little bit more of a budget to work with. Today I'm sharing a few bedrooms that I am currently inspired by, which will hopefully help guide me in decorating my favorite bedroom to date.

10 Beach Vacation Picks

I am not sure if it's just the aftermath of moving or the stack of boxes still looming in my bedroom, but this week felt especially long and I couldn't be more happy that the weekend is only a few hours away. I have slowly been getting unpacked and settling into my new digs, but I have to remind myself that moving takes time and everything won't be put away over night. Anyways, although a beach vacation is nowhere in my future, I recently hung a few new prints by photographer Max Wanger in my room which is what inspired this round-up of beach vacation necessities. If you're in need of new artwork for your walls, or just love great photography, I highly suggest you check out his work here.
