Traveling to Cabo San Lucas

It's hard to believe that it's already been one month since my trip to Mexico! While some days it seems like it was just yesterday that I was sipping margaritas poolside, other days it feels like it was an eternity ago, so I thought I better share a quick recap of my trip while it's still fresh in my mind. Travel has always been a huge source of inspiration and fulfillment for me, but I haven't been the best at documenting my travels (besides the random Instagram post) which is something I plan to change this year. I truly believe that experiences are the best "things" we can purchase and I hope that over the next few months I can get you updated on my recent travels with the intention to inspire you to plan your next adventure. While I've done a fair amount of traveling, I had never been out of the country, so when my boyfriend surprised me with the news he was taking me to Cabo, I was in total shock! Traditionally my family has taken a ski trip over the holidays or around the first part of the year, so it felt completely surreal to be packing for a warm destination in January.

Overall our trip was the perfect balance of relaxation and sightseeing. We enjoyed lazy days on the beach, as well as explored downtown Cabo San Lucas, went on a whale watching excursion and went snorkeling. As a destination that has always topped my travel bucket list, Mexico definitely exceeded my expectations and while I'd like to say I have it "checked off" my list, this trip only further piqued my interest and I can't wait to go back! Here are just a few of the highlights of our trip:

The resort pool overlooking the ocean.
Blooming bougainvillea in downtown Cabo San Lucas.
Exploring the marina and nearby shops.
A brightly colored entrance.
The Office had the most amazing shrimp cocktail and ceviche.
Colorful linens at lunch.
Water taxis lining the beach.
Sipping a tequila sunrise on the catamaran.
The cove where we stopped to go snorkeling.
The most beautiful hibiscus flower right outside our balcony.
One of the many stunning sunsets during our trip.
